The Fat-HD makes a good bike to modify and hot rod because its inexpensive, yet has solid frame/motor system (the time tested tried and true Bafang BBSHD) to build from. Its not a terrible bike stock, but after these upgrades…it can take on most all the things an ebike of ANY price range can do.
Modifications include:
-1700w tuning of the BBSHD motor, giving more torque and smoother performance
-Entire new rear wheel and hub capable of handling the torque, by Alex Rims
-Ditch Bird Single speed kit. Totally different from stock. Beefed up and tough components and customized gearing
-Custom Camo Paint Job by Ditch Bird. No two bikes the same.
-203mm brake rotors, allowing the 2 piston brakes to perform better
-CST Roly Poly 4.8” tires with Flat Out already installed into tubes
-Upgraded rear rack to be tougher and better for towing
-Simple ABS plastic fenders, rather than the large stock aluminum (we’lll send those too if you want, but we prefer simple plastic. Light, quiet…all you need
-Every bike ridden by us and gone through our checklists
-Ongoing support from Ditch Bird. Eunorau has great customer service actually, but we also come with the purchase for Domestic help from experts whenever you need.
