<image:title>Store - Triple 7 - HD - What’s the big deal with the Close Contours frame?</image:title>
<image:caption>This isn’t a foreign clone frame slightly modified to be used for a hunting e-bike. This is a frame that from its inception is designed and purpose built for a hunter’s needs. The geometry creates a low center of gravity for incredible balance and stability while also making the rider’s position more upright and comfortable. CNC’d yokes and dropouts make a rigid frame that not only adds strength while reducing weight, but it also helps get all the motor’s torque realized on the ground. Built for hill climbing, towing, and extreme power.</image:caption>

<image:title>Store - Triple 7 - HD - How can a higher quality e-bike be priced much lower than others?</image:title>
<image:caption>Virtually every other hunting e-bike brand buys complete bikes from foreign trade companies (even some of those that claim not to). Some brands make some subtle changes once they receive the bikes, BUT they are still paying a trade company to source all parts, design and paint frames, assemble all bikes, and handle all packaging and freight. Ditch Bird doesn’t do that. We spec and source separately anything we don’t fabricate in house. No two parts come from the same source. We do our own designing and testing, paint our frames, and turn every wrench. No one else was willing to do this, and it ultimately brings our costs way down.</image:caption>

<image:title>Store - Triple 7 - HD - Motor System(s)</image:title>
<image:caption>HD Edition - This is the version of the Triple 7 built around the classic - time-tested - tried & true Bafang BBSHD. Originally released in 2015, it’s still arguably the best e-bike motor in its class ever designed and certainly remains our favorite motor to use. Because its been around so long, ebike builders and DIY’ers have modded the BBSHD every way imaginable, and we’ve used the motor so many different ways, we’ve dialed in the perfect recipe for it. It’s the quietest motor by far, known for it’s reliability, and can be made as powerful as any mid drive on the market. It’s rated 1000w nominal with a peak of around 1600w and 160Nm of torque, but we tweak and tune the motor for 1200w nominal and peak of 1900w and 190Nm. *It can also be modded to 3000w peak and 285Nm of torque for an additional cost, but the stock 190Nm is typically plenty enough for 99.9% of scenarios and will have a longer lifespan.</image:caption>

<image:title>Store - Triple 7 - HD - Batteries ARE IMPORTANT!</image:title>
<image:caption>Easily and overwhelmingly the most overlooked and least appreciated part on all e-bikes (and hunting e-bike brands are some of the worst offenders). We built high performance batteries for fun long before Ditch Bird was a thing, so we have a keen understanding on what makes a quality AND SAFE battery. Most brands just blindly advertise the brand of cells like its the important factor (“Featuring genuine Samsung, LG, Panasonic cells”), but battery build quality is FAR more important than cell brand (which its highly possible they weren’t honest about to begin with). We use high ampacity copper strips as our conductor when the rest of the industry uses nickel or nickel plated steel that can corrode. These are built with Samsung 50G cells and have a BMS (batt mgmt sys) with Bluetooth connectivity so that we can dial in and check the state of health of each cell bank and ensure proper function and safety.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Could we have had a factory put someone else’s camo on these along with our decals? Sure. Would it have made things easier? Absolutely. Does custom paint add an additional layer of difficulty to production? Oh yeah. Are we going to keep doing it? Yes indeed. No two bikes are painted the same.</image:caption>

<image:title>Store - Triple 7 - HD - Built to PULLLLL</image:title>
<image:caption>It became clear early on that most hunters wanted to have a way to tow a trailer/sled/etc. So we did the deep dive on how to do it most effectively. We looked at all the existing attachment methods and all the articulating metal joints, which mostly work fine, but ultimately the K.I.S.S. method prevailed and we landed on a very simple design…a built in cleat that allows you to quickly and easily attach anything you can secure a rope to and tow it as far as you want to go. No loud metal sounds, no lock pins to lose, nothing in the way on your cart handle when you just want to pull it by hand, and not limited to what you can attach to. Additionally, while many bunting bikes have towing attachments at the axle (which is too low and reduces traction) and others attach to the top rear of rack (which is too high and makes the bike tough to handle), our rack brings the attachment and pull point to the proper location between the rack and axle. Also designed with a trellis frame that transfers those pull forces back to the frame with incredible strength. Rack sides have 14 different attachment points welded on for molle sides or countless other possibilities.</image:caption>

<image:title>Store - Triple 7 - Green Jeans Edition - What’s the big deal with the Close Contours frame?</image:title>

<image:title>Store - Triple 7 - Green Jeans Edition - How can a higher quality e-bike be priced much lower than others?</image:title>

<image:title>Store - Triple 7 - Green Jeans Edition - Motor System(s)</image:title>
<image:caption>The ‘Green Jeans Edition’ will feature the Bafang g510/m620 Ultra motor. This is a commonly used mid motor, but this version of it is VERY different. By increasing the amount of copper wraps on the armature, we can increase torque substantially, while also reducing the loud noise of the motor (a common complaint with the Ultra motor). This also allows us to make both the 750w version of the motor MUCH more powerful than motors over 1500w and beyond. If you are in an area requiring 750w compliance, this is the ticket. No silly toggling between legal and nonlegal. A 750w rated motor can genuinely be more powerful than most motors at any wattage.</image:caption>

<image:title>Store - Triple 7 - Green Jeans Edition - Batteries ARE IMPORTANT!</image:title>

<image:title>Store - Triple 7 - Green Jeans Edition - Built to PULLLLL</image:title>

<image:title>PAY LINKS ETC - Triple 7 - How can a higher quality e-bike be priced much lower than others?</image:title>

<image:title>PAY LINKS ETC - Triple 7 - Motor System(s)</image:title>
<image:caption>The standard trim level will be the Bafang g510/m620 Ultra motor. This is a commonly used mid motor, but this version of it is VERY different. By increasing the amount of copper wraps on the armature, we can increase torque substantially, while also reducing the loud noise of the motor (a common complaint with the Ultra motor). This also allows us to make both the 750w and 1000w rated versions of the motor MUCH more powerful than motors over 1500w. If you are in an area requiring 750w compliance, this is the ticket. No silly toggling between legal and nonlegal. A 750w rated motor can genuinely be more powerful than most motors at any wattage. There is no power difference between the 750w and 1000w rated g510 after Ditch Bird adjustments **The Triple 7 can also be built with numerous other motors like the popular Bafang 1000w BBSHD, Bafang 750w m560, Bafang 1500w m630, Truckrun 750w m16, etc. Message us to inquire about these motors**</image:caption>

<image:title>PAY LINKS ETC - Triple 7 - Batteries ARE IMPORTANT!</image:title>

<image:title>PAY LINKS ETC - Triple 7 - Built to PULLLLL</image:title>

<image:title>PAY LINKS ETC - Triple 7 (local pickup) - What’s the big deal with the Close Contours frame?</image:title>

<image:title>PAY LINKS ETC - Triple 7 - Kyle S Details - What’s the big deal with the Close Contours frame?</image:title>

<image:title>PAY LINKS ETC - Triple 7 - Kyle S Details - How can a higher quality e-bike be priced much lower than others?</image:title>

<image:title>PAY LINKS ETC - Triple 7 - Kyle S Details - Motor System(s)</image:title>

<image:title>PAY LINKS ETC - Triple 7 - Kyle S Details - Batteries ARE IMPORTANT!</image:title>

<image:title>PAY LINKS ETC - Triple 7 - Kyle S Details - Built to PULLLLL</image:title>

<image:title>PAY LINKS ETC - Triple 7 - HD (Personal Link / Pricing) - What’s the big deal with the Close Contours frame?</image:title>
</image:image>

<image:title>PAY LINKS ETC - Triple 7 - HD (Personal Link / Pricing) - How can a higher quality e-bike be priced much lower than others?</image:title>

<image:title>PAY LINKS ETC - Triple 7 - HD (Personal Link / Pricing) - Motor System(s)</image:title>
